Something fun to share on a Sunday afternoon!
My bloggy friend, Billie Jo, tagged me in a post and I promised to share 5 things you may not know about me.
So hear goes...
#1 I was a synchronized swimmer growing up. Yes, I started synchro in 8th grade at Camp Mary Elizabeth. When I was in college, I was on the synchronized swimming team. When our neighborhood pool is quiet, I still practice a few tricks!
Can you find me? 2nd row, 1st on the left. Such a fun group of friends! |
#3 One day, I want to live in the woods in a log cabin. I want to pare down my belongings and have our little cabin filled with only the things we truly love and use. I would like it to have a front porch that can hold some rocking chairs and pretty potted plants along the steps. Something cozy and charming.
#4 I like happy endings. When I read a book or watch a movie, I want things to end well with all questions answered and tied in a neat little bow. Harry Potter... the perfect ending!
#5 I don't like talking on the phone. And speaking of phones, I still have a plain old cell phone. It has a texting keyboard, but it is not fancy. I can not justify spending the extra money on a data plan each month. I would much rather have a pedicure now and then. (Or stop by the bakery to get cupcakes!)
So who wants to play along? I would love to know 5 interesting things about you all! Please let me know if you would like to write a 5 things post! I will officially tag you!
Update: Carrie from Bake No Prisoners... Can't wait to read your 5 things!
Jane from The Felt Boutique ... I just read your 5 things! # 4 sounds wonderful!
xoxo Elizabeth
You are just as darling as I imagined. I wish we lived closer!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Shauna! I wish we did too! I think you would be one of my most fun pals!
DeleteI think it is so awesome that you used to be a synchronized swimmer!! Love! And thanks for the book recommendation. I will have to check it out when we go to the beach! I would love to do a 5 things post!
ReplyDeleteHi Carrie! I am glad you are going to write a 5 things post!
Deletep.s. I think you will love the book!
Oh Elizabeth...this was great! Thanks so much for posting! It is fun getting to know people better ...
ReplyDeleteI love that you were a synchronized swimmer! That is amazing!
Your number 3...sounds perfectly perfect...
And I think you know how I feel about talking on the phone! Maybe someday we will meet. We can get pedicures and cupcakes!
So glad we are bloggy friends! : )
I hope we can meet one day! I think we would get along so well! Pedicures and cupcakes for sure!
DeleteElizabeth, I love learning a little more about you! Synchronized swimming - how neat! And you are just as adorable now as you were then. The appeal of a log cabin and a simplified life is wonderful. It takes a few visits to the thrift shop to realize how much stuff we accumulate. I am right there with you on the phone. We do not have data plans. That adds hundreds of dollars to the plans that I simply do not need. Annie wants a smart phone so bad but the kids pay for their cell phones and she can't justify this "need."
ReplyDeleteI think it is wonderful that you are teaching your children to know if something is a "want" or a true " need"!
DeleteWhat a fantastic post Elizabeth and so interesting! Thanks for sharing your five things with us...the cabin sounds wonderful. I have shared 5 things about myself over on my blog http://thefeltboutique.wordpress.com/2013/06/10/five-things/
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic week xxx
