Ready, Get Set, Go! Sleep?

Ready, Get Set, Go! SLEEP? How does sleep fit in with our challenge? We have been working hard and we need to let our bodies rest and get ready for the next day.  Lately, I've been daydreaming about napping. I'm not getting enough sleep and it's beginning to show. I'm a night owl... I read, I fold laundry, I surf the internet. I should be sleeping.
Doctors at the Mayo Clinic say most adults need 7-9 hours of sleep. 8 hours seems to be just right for me. My goal for next week is to go to bed at 10:15. I'm going to get more sleep so that I feel like I can "move mountains" a little easier!

How is the challenge going for you? Here are some activities I've been doing this past week:
Our family ran a 5K race! (So much fun! I ran/walked-- it felt great!)
Lots of bike rides.
A run/walk with a friend. (The time passes quickly when you are running with a buddy!)

I hope you all have a great day!
Are you a night owl too? Remember to get enough sleep at night. You deserve it!

Ready, Get Set, Go!
Elizabeth

p.s. If you are just hearing about our challenge, click here to see how it all started. We are finding time to exercise. Basically, just taking a few moments to get outside and move. Everyone is invited and you are welcome to leave a note to let us know how things are going!

  1. I'm so glad you participated in the 5K!!! I had to cancel out of my winery run and was quite disappointed to miss that. We are trying to find one that fits in our busy weekend schedule but haven't been able to do that yet. And before you know it, it will be a looooooong Cleveland winter! I agree sleep is very important. Yesterday I was feeling quite drained. I haven't napped in a long time, but when I sat down at 8 I was falling asleep on the couch! I decided I couldn't do anything but read. We all turned in early. Some days you just need to do that.

  2. Ah yes sleep...we could all do with a little more of that. Like you Elizabeth I keep promising myself earlier nights but it never seems to happen! I am such a night owl!

You have done so brilliantly with your exercise especially the 5k run (congrats to your family too)!!!!

I have walked to work twice this week when the weather was nice and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!! Jane xxx

  3. This is very cool! Great challenge. I clicked back to the asthema post. I feel a great deal for the mom who just doesn't feel well and wants to be there for her kids, but physically can't. Glad you found meds that work and I hope the exercise counts. I'm officially encouraging you :)
